# DAO Treasury

The DAO Treasury is the resource layer of AIONET.

It exists to support the development, expansion, and long-term sustainability of the ecosystem. The treasury does not function as a pooled investment fund or user-controlled asset pool. Instead, it operates as a structured reserve that enables the system to evolve through coordinated decisions.

All treasury activity is governed through predefined rules and DAO participation.

### Treasury Sources

The treasury is funded through internal ecosystem activity.

Primary sources include:

| Source                    | Allocation |
| ------------------------- | ---------- |
| Membership NFT mints      | 10%        |
| RaffleQuiz participation  | 10%        |
| xBTC Vaults Profit Shares | up to 20% |

These allocations are automatically directed to the treasury according to system logic, ensuring transparent and consistent funding over time.

***

### Treasury Purpose

The DAO Treasury is used to support key areas of ecosystem development.

These include:

* product development and upgrades
* infrastructure and technical improvements
* ecosystem expansion initiatives
* community-driven programs

Treasury usage is not discretionary. All allocations must follow the governance process defined by the DAO.

***

### Control Model

The treasury is managed through a structured control mechanism designed to balance security and coordination.

| Component       | Role                             |
| --------------- | -------------------------------- |
| Multisig Wallet | Holds treasury funds securely |
| DAO Governance | Approves how funds are allocated |
| Execution Layer | Implements approved decisions |

This model ensures that:

* funds are securely stored
* decisions are collectively approved
* execution follows defined rules

No single entity has unilateral control over treasury funds.

***

### Governance Integration

The treasury operates as an extension of the governance system.

All usage of treasury funds requires:

* a formal proposal
* community visibility
* approval through DAO voting

This ensures that:

* treasury activity is transparent
* decisions reflect active participation
* resource allocation aligns with ecosystem priorities

***

### Security Principles

The treasury is designed with a strong emphasis on safety and predictability.

Key principles include:

* multi-signature control to prevent unilateral access
* no direct interaction with user funds
* separation from core system utilities (such as vaults)
* execution only after governance approval

These safeguards ensure that the treasury remains isolated, controlled, and aligned with the system’s overall architecture.

***

### Separation from User Assets

It is important to clearly distinguish the DAO Treasury from user-owned funds.

The treasury:

* does not hold user deposits
* does not manage individual vaults
* does not have access to user-controlled assets

All user funds remain fully non-custodial and outside the scope of treasury operations.

***

### Final Perspective

The DAO Treasury enables AIONET to operate as a sustainable and evolving system.

It provides the resources required to build, improve, and expand the ecosystem, while remaining fully governed by transparent and structured decision-making.

The treasury is not a financial pool to be exploited.\
It is a coordination layer that supports the long-term development of AIONET.
